July 9 - Two Venues Offer Free Family Concerts

By Joyce Westner

July 9, 2023.  Back by popular demand, both the town’s and Wright-Locke Farm’s evening musical events start this week.  The farm offered “Family Farm Night” concerts in the years leading up to Covid, and last year reservations were required to avoid a big crowd.  This year there’s no need for reservations, and overflow parking will be available at St. Eulalia’s parking lot.  The farm opens to families at 5:30 for the next four Tuesdays, and the concerts are from 6 to 7 with refreshments, including a cash bar.  More information is available at www.wlfarm.org.

Plus the well-liked “Concerts on the Common,” start on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and run for eight weeks.  They’re organized by the Winchester Recreation Department with grant support, and concert details are available on the town calendar.  Visitors to both events are asked to bring blankets or folding chairs.
